Why Did Powell Family Foundation Reach Out?
Powell Family Foundation contacted our team at Qlic as they were interested in moving away from their on-premise server and implementing a more flexible and efficient IT set-up, Microsoft 365.
Alongside implementing SharePoint Online for Powell Foundation, our Projects Team made sure that all users would be migrated to the Office 365 email tenancy and MFA would be implemented.
Our Project Manager on the job, Sam, liaised with the manager at Powell Foundation to find the best dedicated weekend for them so that he could migrate them over to SharePoint without disturbing them during business hours.

- Migrate all active email accounts over to the new Office365 Tenancy
- Migrate current domain to new Office365 tenancy
- Migrate all Powell Family’s data onto Sharepoint Online
- Implement MFA to ensure the security of Powell’s data on the newly configured SharePoint

About Powell Family Foundation
The Powell Foundation is a private, family foundation incorporated in Texas. It is governed by a board of eleven directors comprised of two generations of the Powell family and three independent directors. The Foundation is operated by a small staff located in central Houston. The Powell Foundation places priority on organizations and programs that serve residents in Harris, Travis and Walker counties, principally in the fields of public education, the arts, conservation, and human services.
