Henry

Case Study
The Organisation

Henry is a UK charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children and families. Through training, support programmes, and resources, Henry empowers professionals and parents to create healthier home environments. Their work spans across local authorities, NHS trusts, and community organisations, with a strong emphasis on digital collaboration and safeguarding.

The Challenge

Henry’s digital infrastructure was previously built around Google Workspace, including shared drives, email, and mobile device management. As the charity expanded its services and partnerships, limitations in data security, collaboration tools, and device oversight became increasingly apparent. The existing setup lacked integration with modern security standards and posed challenges in managing user access and safeguarding sensitive information. Henry required a secure, scalable, and compliant solution to support its operational needs and ensure continuity of service delivery across its teams and stakeholders.

The Approach

Qlic IT proposed a full migration to Microsoft 365, beginning with the creation of a new Modern Communication SharePoint Site. This site was configured as the default hub for internal collaboration, replacing the Google Shared Drive. All relevant data was migrated to the new SharePoint environment, ensuring structured access and improved document management.
Mailbox data was transferred from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, with DNS records updated to reflect the new configuration. Devices previously enrolled in Google MDM were unenrolled and rejoined to Microsoft Entra ID and Intune, enabling centralised device management and compliance with safeguarding policies.
To enhance security, Qlic IT completed the Secure Score/Security Baseline Project , aligning Henry’s environment with Microsoft’s best practices. Datto Backupify was deployed to provide reliable backup for user data and SharePoint content. Sophos Intercept X Essentials was installed across all devices, with checks performed to ensure compatibility with Henry’s existing Sophos Central setup.
The project was delivered with no outstanding issues, and all components were successfully deployed. No handover points remained, ensuring a smooth transition for Henry’s staff and volunteers.

The Results

Henry now operates within a secure and fully integrated Microsoft 365 environment. The new SharePoint site has improved collaboration across teams, while mailbox migration ensures seamless communication. Device management is now streamlined under Intune, and the charity’s security posture has been significantly strengthened through the Secure Score project and Sophos deployment.
The migration was completed without disruption, and all data is now backed up securely via Datto Backupify. Staff and volunteers benefit from a more reliable and user-friendly digital workspace, supporting Henry’s mission to deliver impactful services to families and children. The infrastructure is now future-proofed, scalable, and aligned with safeguarding and compliance requirements.
