GDPR six months in

Look back 6 months and companies all over the UK were in a mild panic about the impending General Data Protection Regulation that was about to come into effect. Re-opt in emails were flying everywhere, companies were cleansing their data, DPOs were being appointed and no one was quite sure what would happen.

Should I panic about GDPR compliance?

In short, not yet, you just need to ensure you have a GDPR compliance plan in place, so now is the time to act. The GDPR comes into effect on 25th May 2018. It is a new law that is designed to strengthen the privacy and protect data for citizens of the EU countries.
