About St Benedict's Hospice
St Benedict’s Hospice in Sunderland has delivered free palliative care, advice, and support to patients dealing with a life limiting illness and their families for over 40 years.
Their specialist care teams, comprised of medical professionals, clinical staff, and volunteers provide patients and their loved ones with the highest standard of care.
St Benedict's Hospice's Challenges
With an ever-growing community, St Benedict’s Hospice endeavours to purchase another Patient Transportation Vehicle to add to their fleet which is currently made up of 3 vans.
Their patient transport service is completely free for patients attending the Hospice; however, they are struggling to meet the demands of the community due to an expanding area radius.
They pledge to continue their free patient transport service to all who need it, but they desperately need funding to acquire a new vehicle.
